Is it too early to do a “Best of 2011” show? Hells no. Truth is, we had these bands already picked by January…

Here’s the gist… We’re presenting a series of shows to close out 2011 featuring a few of our favorite bands of the year beginning 9/30 at The Central with The Nocturnes, El Elle, Psychic Friend, and Pageants.

The Nocturnes’ new album “Aokigahara” is out 8/31 and will head out on tour to promote it. This is their homecoming show. El Elle is the new electro dance project from Lisa Light (formerly of The Lovemakers). Self-titled debut album out now. Psychic Friend is the new indie pop band from Imperial Teen’s Will Schwartz. And Pageants is the new indie rock duo of Rebecca Coleman (formerly of Avi Buffalo) and Devin O’Brien.
